FAQ's

The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends that young women schedule their first gynecological exam between the ages of 13 and 15. This can be a well-woman exam or a visit to address specific concerns.

A Pap smear is a quick and painless screening test used to detect abnormal cervical cells that could potentially lead to cervical cancer. During the exam, a small sample of cells is collected from the cervix and sent to a laboratory for analysis.

The recommended frequency for Pap smears can vary depending on your age, medical history, and risk factors. Your doctor will advise you on the appropriate screening schedule for you.
